love it when Seniors get creative...and allow us to be creative too! Amanda and I talked several times over the Summer about what she wanted for her Senior portraits. (Amanda is one of our student assistants, so we had lots of time to chat!) We looked through magazines, websites and talked about style. So by the time her shoot actually rolled around, she couldn't have been more excited. As she climbed into our car, she apologized for  bringing an armload of clothes and accessories...and I think at that point I wanted to hug her! I loved that she brought choices...and even more, she let me help her mix and match and I teased that she was my real life Barbie! Anyhow, Grant and I had a blast with her that day as we played all over Yorktown chasing good light and fabulous textures!

 

here is no way you can possibly construct the correct adjectives to portray what goes through a parents head when their child walks over the stage to accept their diploma.  But I can say Mason, your parents would try to use words like winner, leader, supporter, happy, sad, and probably the word with the most weight? Pride.  Thank you Jesus... Mason has graduated.  Thank you Jesus... for letting us be his Dad and Mom.  But most of all, thank you Jesus that Mason is a man after Your own heart and chases You.  

Now I'm crying.  I'm such a girl.

We love you Mason Seth - Strong one chosen by God.  You rock!

A bunch of the Seniors impromptu broke into a "tonight's gonna be a good good night" dance.  They rocked it - and it was totally unexpected.  Great job guys!  

 

hen our son, Mason, came home from ordering his tuxedo for DBCS's Junior/Senior, he casually mentioned that he had decided upon...a white tuxedo!!! And he even ordered black & white wingtips to top off his digs. I'm fairly certain my jaw dropped a little...not sure why, really, I suppose I just couldn't see him in a white tux.

BOY, WAS I WRONG! ;) A few weeks ago, when he came around the corner from getting dressed... my jaw dropped again at the young man standing in front of me! All sorts of thoughts rushed through my head. How could this be his Senior Year? When did he get this handsome? And how could I BE this old? ha! Then Mason gave me the speech he always gives his parent's when they come near with a camera...BE QUICK!

And I'm pretty sure we weren't but how could we not parade he and Amanda, his girlfriend of 2 years, all over the neighborhood in search of 'good light' when they looked so profusely adorable!!! ;)
