ome good friends told us one time that God puts certain people in your life's 'basket', and this is eactly what He did with our friends Tommy and Lou Ann. Many years ago, they were put into our basket and they've remained through happy times and even a few sad ones. In fact, that is how you know they're in your basket...they're the kind of friends that no matter how long it's been since you've talked, you can just pick right up where you left off. We laugh, and giggle like teenagers sometimes. These two have the greatest relationship, and are the grandparents of the adorable little boy in my last post. As you can see, he didn't fall too far from the good-lookin' tree. ;-) Also, you would never know it from these images...but the moment we stepped outside to take their photos, the winds picked up and hair was a flyin'. Grant shot these while I wrestled with the reflector and almost launched myself Mary Poppins style. ;-)
...I've always thought Lou Ann looked a bit like Susan Sarandon...
only prettier.
I've had a few questions on the actions that I use for our photos. On the top two photos particularly, I used Doug Boutwell's - Totally Rad Actions (set 1). It's a blast to mix and match and create your own custom recipes. Recently, I've begun to play with a few actions from my good friend Mindy Bush as well. In fact, our header photo was converted to BW using her Choco-latte action from the Color Wonder Set. It's rich and fah-bulous! ;-) Thanks Mindy. ;-)
