aahhh ...
over the holidays, i fell in love with making decorative trees. My sister-in-law Robin gave me a few more, and now I have quite a cute little collection of store bought and handmade trees. As I'm reluctantly taking down Christmas decor today, I've decided to keep out my trees. In fact, I'm toying with the idea of keeping the BIG tree up too, only taking down the ornaments and redecorating with a Valentine theme.
Although, perhaps since Lindsae is turning 18 in less than 2 weeks (sob), I could even decorate in a birthday theme as well. Grant shares his birthday with Valentines Day so I have all sorts of plans for this tree. ;-)
Here is an eample of one of the many trees I made this season. Cute little thing isn't it? It's made using a Paper Cone from Michaels, and Heidi Grace Designs Papers and embellishments. The base of the red/black one was made by gluing 2 empty ribbon spools together and covering with paper. These are really fun to make.
