..have you ever heard of 'miracle snow'? neither had i...that is, till yesterday. Let me tell you the story.
It all started a few months ago, when asked what kind of party she wanted for her 6th birthday...Madison replied, "A snow party, Mama!"
I'm sure Robin realized that a snow party might be difficult. Virginia snow afterall, is quite unpredictable and sparse. Nevertheless, being the QUEEN of cool kid parties...precipitation or not...she would give her daughter a fabulous party. Decorations were ordered, plans made...and eventually adorable invitations were mailed out for 2 o'clock on Saturday the 20th.
Now what I haven't mentioned is that prayers began as well. Apparently, this little girl was serious about snow for her party. And if you've ever heard Madison or her sister, Paige, pray...you would witness how they touch the heart of God in earnest. It wasn't impossible or presumptuous at all to Madison...after all, her Heavenly Father WAS in charge of the weather wasn't He?
As the days drew closer to her party, we began to hear reports of snow flurries on the weather reports. This is common to hear...but very uncommon to actually occur, much less for it to stick to the ground. God had other plans though.
The morning of her party, it began to rain and rain...and rain some more. Then suddenly, the temperature dropped and flurries began. Can you guess what time that was?
2 o'clock....it began snowing the eact time of her party. Not just a few flakes either...but lots and lots of them. And by the end of her party...the ground was covered!
...the faith of a child is an amazing thing to witness...but the loving act of a Father to his child is even more awesome. Here are a few photos that show a little of our celebrations.

Oh and this purse was a present I made for Madison to carry her cute little daisy Bible in. I found the pattern from a great store, Marvelous Mouse Designs, over at Etsy. Sarah, the owner, was so helpful too...emailing with me back and forth to answer all of my questions. I just downloaded the pattern, and began sewing...it was THAT easy! Here's another close up photo, it's fully lined and everything. Thanks Sarah. ;-)
