Same spot, different story. As photographers, sometimes we find ourselves shooting in some of the same locations. So how do we keep it real and fresh? We pretend. ;) We pretend all kinds of things. Like we may or may not be foreign tourists with cameras, and have no idea how to get around or ask for directions...the goal being that we need fresh eyes to see the location in a new way. It's not too hard for me either, since Grant drives everywhere while I'm talking, i rarely pay attention where we're going. I think I've got this tourist thing in the bag. ;)
The day we met Leslie and Andrew in the city, we had just shot another couple two days prior. But the tourist thing worked like a charm. Of course Leslie and Andrew had no idea...we just walked and talked and discovered light. It was a visual adventure that allowed us to get to know them better and by the end of the evening, we discovered what their love looked like...and it was beautiful.
