I can't decide. You wouldn't think it would be that hard, but it is. I love taking photos, and i love telling stories...and some days I can't decide which I love more. To have one without the other would be incomplete, atleast for me. Grant, on the other hand, is perfectly fine with letting me have this part all to myself. And it's a good thing, because while we work as a well-oiled team in capturing your wedding story, I am quite the dictator when it comes to the design of our wedding books. Just ask my partner. He'll grimace, and nod and tell you that while I'm designing...the world stops spinning. It consumes every neuron of my brain, and as a result, when the FedEx man delivers the box, I have a hard time letting them leave my little nest.
Don't worry, Grant doesn't allow me to hold on too long, assuring me that as much as we love looking at the beautiful rich pages, pulling each album close to smell the leather goodness, we know our brides and grooms are equally excited to finally take their wedding art book home. After all, it is THEIR story right? ;)
Here is the latest wedding story design we sent to Jonah + Julie. Their delightful garden wedding took place in Williamsburg at the historic Edgewood Plantation, and although it was one of the smallest weddings we've ever captured, it was truly one of our favorites. The simple elegance and love in which family and friends carried out their duties that day was a true joy for us to capture.
