Our last wedding of 2010, was our first snow! I don't know if brides get excited about snow, but Grant and I were so excited the day of Angie and Tyler's wedding, we could hardly contain ourselves. Due to the time of their wedding and losing daylight, they had chosen to see each other (we call it a First Look) before their ceremony, and make a little time for a few awesome portraits. Angie braved the chill with a pair of fur lined Uggs, while we carefully led her out to the front yard of her parent's beautiful home. Out came Tyler, and once Grant had him in position, we had them open their eyes. That's it...no instruction...we just told them to be real. And it was one of our most beautiful First Looks ever!
It amazes me that after photographing so many of these first looks, each one holds it's own excitement, and it's own reverence. With no one else around, the First Look allows the groom to tell his bride how amazing she looks, and how much they mean to one another. They laugh, they cry, they hug, and it's uniquely different each time. Once the ceremony begins, it's a whirlwind of activity, and they are barely allowed the time to kiss. So their moments spent together at the beginning end up being some of their most favorite from the whole day.
Angie and Tyler, thank you so much for trusting us to capture such a beautiful day in your lives! It was hard to choose from so many fantastic moments, but here are a handful of our favorites. Enjoy!
