We just love weddings! We love beach weddings! We love parties! And occasionally, along comes a couple that BRINGS IT! Wendy was determined to have a beautiful Hawaiian themed wedding on the beach, Steve was determined to have FUN.. .and together they made both happen. The weather and light breezes couldn't couldn't have been more perfect for their outdoor ceremony, and the colors that Wendy planned were a perfect contrast to the sand and water backdrop of Fort Monroe.

There is this beautiful courtyard tucked in front of the Baybreeze center, where I was able to hang the dress, and it had such an island feel to it. I was having such a hard time reaching the overhead branches of this crepe myrtle when Grant saw my struggle, and came to the rescue. He took the shot on the right, and mine is on the left.

While Wendy and the girls were dressing, the guys and some family acutally set up the chairs. Steve's family even made the palm arbor.

We love it when a couples chooses to see one another before the ceremony. Such a special moment, and of course they are rewarded with gorgeous photos, but most of all they have a change to tell each other how they feel, and we've been told it often helps calm the jitters. ;)

These weren't just cupcakes...they were GIANT CUPCAKES...the kind that would make Paul Bunyan proud.

Wendy made every single one of these sugar cookie favors that adorned the beautiful tables.

Wendy flew these gorgeous flowers in from Hawaii and arranged them herself! ;)

a traditional money dance for the couple! ;)

time for a little fun in the OpenBooth! I'm cracking up at the guy in the white shirt, picking his lei.

...and then there were the groomsmen. ;)

this little one visited 1, 395 times...and we have the photos to prove it. lol!

people would pose, and this guy would run through the back of the booth. Hilarious. I called him the Creeper.
