It's an increasing trend to have brides call asking if we include digital images with our wedding coverage packages. Some, occasionally, are even willing to settle for that disc as the only tangible thing they walk away with after the wedding. Don't get me wrong, it's fabulous to have an archived copy of the best day of your life! You can make prints from that disc to hang on your walls and even give away as gifts. Depending on the size and coverage of your wedding, you may receive anywhere from 500 - 1000 images. Then you spend hours sorting through those hundreds of images, picking out the keepers that you want to take to have printed. I love the freedom that the Digital Age has afforded us all. 

But think about it, even with the strictest of budgets, a wedding couple and their families spend lots of money to make this day unique, and special. After the wedding, your photos are one of the only things you have that will remain and live on. Can that disc be your heirloom? Can you curl up on the couch with it, thumbing through each page, reliving the best moments of your life with your spouse? Can you smell it's cover and run your fingers over the rich texture? 

Even for the brave souls, that have painstakingly loaded all the images, spent hours making choices, then uploaded those images to a do-it-yourself online bookmaking site... consumer choices are still very limited. Thin pages, hard covers and images printed on a press. Nice...but mediocre, at best.
