We met Sara and Jeff for the first time last year at
The Tides Inn, their wedding venue in Irvington, Virginia. Not only did we feel amazingly comfortable with them as a couple, but this location was so quaint and beautiful I wanted to rent a room and stay forever! This charming resort sits on a bluff within a peninsula bound by the Chesapeake Bay, the Potomac and Rappahannock Rivers, and as Sara and Jeff graciously led us around the property that day we couldn't help but get excited for their wedding this year in June.
Since they live in Boston, it was a challenge to schedule travel and flights around their busy schedules but Sara had her heart set on having their engagement photos taken at a beautiful Virginia Plantation, and so we emailed back and forth until it happened! Having shot at
Berkeley Plantation before, Grant and I knew we loved the location and even though the day of their shoot called for storms, God held them back so nothing but blue skies and fluffy white clouds stood in our way.
