What started out as a forecast of cool and rainy, turned out perfect as Grant and I made the drive from Newport News to Richmond last saturday. Anytime fluffy white clouds and blue skies are precursers to a wedding...we get excited, and excited we became as each several miles unveiled yet another patch of blue sky. I met Cat and most of her bridesmaids in a flurry of activity at her apartment on Broad Street, while Adam and the guys met up with Grant at the church a bit later.
I knew it the day we took their engagement photos... and I sensed it yet again watching them clasp hands on the platform of Walnut Grove Baptist Church...they were in love and they were completetly and wholeheartedly best friends. I'm sure the pastor said all the right things, but I doubt they heard a word as they gazed into each other's eyes and pledged their vows for eternity. They knew they were meant to experience all that life has to offer...to grow old together, and they had worked, saved and planned for this day for a long time.
Of course all fabulous weddings are the result of quite a few professionals that help the couple and family pull it all together.
