Francesca and Brian are the kind of couple that put you at ease when you're around them. They're comfortable with one another... and within moments, you sense they're deeply in love. The first time I met Francesca was when we arrived at their home in to shoot their Richmond Engagement photo session this past Spring. Standing before me was this knockout beauty, perfect skin, amazing smile, legs that didn't stop... and while I'm stammering just to put a mere hand out to greet her....she says, "Deb, I love your makeup and your eyes are beautiful!" There was no hope for me, I'm sure I was smitten from that moment on. The genuine smile on her face told me that they weren't just empty words either. Brian is the perfect compliment to her, and it's easy to see that he's her rock. Her vivacious... to his steady devotion, and they wear their love as comfortable as a couple that have been together for a long, long time.
So, you can imagine my excitement, when she called 2 weeks before their wedding to tell me that they were going to do a "first look." This is a private moment, a short time before the wedding ceremony, where the bride and groom meet in a secluded location to see each other for the first time. The purpose being to record with our cameras that priceless moment when they see one another all dressed up for the first time and those emotions that go along with it. You see it's not always easy to get these expressions coming down the isle. Sometimes the minister has strict rules, or a guest might get in the way and then the moment is gone. This was so important to them that they opted for this mini session ahead of time. It's not for everyone, but it was definitely for them, and as you will see from their images below, it was a part of their day they will never ever forget.
Francesca and Brian, I know you're still in Hawaii honeymooning, but I know your families are anxious to see the sneek peek or your wedding pictures, so here are bunch of our favs from the day.
While Francesca had her backed turned, Grant led Brian (with his eyes clothes) to the grassy area behind her. Their 'First Look' began when she slowly turned around and they caught first sight.
