his past Saturday, Deb and I were commissioned by the
Bob McDonnell for Governor and Bill Bolling for Lt. Governor Campaign to photograph their kickoff campaign at the J.R. Tucker High School in Richmond, VA. We were honored and quite flattered to be part of such a fantastic and well produced event.
Bob's wife Maureen has been a great friend of Deb's and mine for many years, and we've watched Bob's success as he's climbed the political ladder of Virginia. This step, to become the Governor of Virginia would seem large to many - but to Bob, we are certain it is just another successful step in his political climb.
There were several hundred excited and truly passionate supporters in attendance as the message was delivered clearly from both Bill Bolling and Bob McDonnell himself. But one of the most moving moments for me was to see those several hundred supporters bowing their heads in an emotional and powerful prayer delivered by Rev. Victor Torress during the Invocation (see pic below). Truly an amazing spectacle.
Dear Bob McDonnell; Our prayers, support, and passion are with you Sir. May God richly bless you, your family, and your campaign.
Here are a few of our pics from Saturday's event.
The St. Joseph's Children's Choir sang the National Anthem. Did a tremendous job!

Dianne Reynolds Cane gave the call to order and introduced Rev. Torrees for the invocation.

And this - the most POWERFUL moments of the entire day. The entire crowd had their heads bowed in reverent prayer. This is an amazing picture.

Bill Bolling (for Lt. Governor) speaks

Bill Bolling introduces Jeanine McDonnell, the McDonnell's daughter.

And then Jeanine McDonnell proudly introduces her Dad - The Man -
Bob McDonnell

The McDonnell campaign signs just didn't seem to end - seen here lining the front entrance.

And also lining the 1/2 mile, in both directions of the school. Just after taking this next pic, the Henrico County police PULLED ME OVER, asking why I was taking pictures. It wasn't until I produced the PRESS pass that he let me go. D'Oh!

After leaving the McDonnell event, Deb and I rushed to a FANTASTIC Indian Wedding Reception at
Plant Zero Events in downtown Richmond where we photographed an AMAZING couple - Pavitra and Nicholas, and 400 of their closest family and friends (post coming VERY soon - stay tuned) until after MIDNIGHT. Not only are Pavitra and Nicholas tremendous - the entire event was simply breathtaking.
