he Roberts sisters had a great idea...to surprise their Mom and Dad with a photo session for Christmas. Since both girls live far away from home, and only get together one time a year...they really wanted to make this time special. In our back and forth emails, Jennifer revealed that it had been a zillion years since they'd had a family photo so I knew that this session had great potential.
This past Saturday, we met in Colonial Williamsburg and even though it was an overcast afternoon...it made for great even light to shoot in. I admire this family so much...they really trusted us and as you will see even though there were crowds all around, they relaxed, let loose and had fun with their session. In fact, I have so many photos of Dad laughing with his girls...and I love that he wasn't embarassed to show it!
We love it when families realize that life is not spent inside a studio, posed and perfect...but is made up of lots of real moments pulled together in real settings...that's what lifestyle photography is all about.
