This past Saturday I had the honor and privilege of photographing an exciting event in the life of a special little boy and his family. You see, as his mother explained, not only was little RJ born in the Year of the Pig (which comes around every 12 years), but he was born in the year of the Golden Pig which only hails every 600 years. Some believe that babies born in the golden pig year will have comfortable and wealthy lives. Regardless of his future, it was easy to see that this little one is surrounded by love and celebrating with him were lots of family, friends and an abundance of fabulous Korean cooking! Here are a few of my favorites from the evening!
He handled it well, as both Grandmothers dressed him in a traditional Korean outfit.
Hold on little guy, there are 3 more to go!
Now on to the second change of outfits, an adorable little tuxedo...that he lasted in for a whole 5 minutes. Enough time to snap a cute portrait with mom though.
While he was changing into casual clothes, I took great-grandmother outside for a relaxed portrait. Isn't she stunning?
Little man surrounded by his family...

The famous cake...and it was huge with not one but two pigs.
...and this was only half of the amazing food table!
a little alone time with dad...
Not only is he getting to be a big boy...but soon a big brother as well. ;-)
What is it with boys and their cars?
It's a good thing I am not his mom...I could NEVER resist those cheeks! Happy Birthday little cutie, and may you have many more!
